This mother of three started her art career when she retired as a recovery room nurse. Peggy Joyce studied with John McClusky, working in acrylic and oil. She loves to paint landscapes, portraits and any other subject that “speaks to her.” She strives to be in tune with her subjects to convey the emotion and mood that initially attracts her when she starts each one of her projects. She also paints from photos and work for commissions with an equal fervor to capture these same qualities.

Her painting are on display in galleries in Fredericksburg, throughout the U.S. and Europe. She is a member of the Kerrville Art Club, the Kerrville Arts and Cultural Center, Die Kunstler von Fredericksburg and the Fredericksburg Art Guild.

She has won many awards and accolades for her magnificent work. She has continued her education at UTSA, Schreiner University, San Antonio College and St. Phillips College.

Her best title is simply “Mom”, and her hobbies include “people watching/observing’.
