Dear Farm Family & Friends,

September, in its way – from the horticultural point of view – is a gratifying and excellent month; not only because many herb and plants begin to flower again, but our gardens start to rejuvenate from the Summer's heat. It is also the month for the ripening wine. It is the month that the earth opens so that we can plant again! Now is the time to plant things in the ground that need to get a hold before Spring.

Our herb for September is Cilantro / Coriander. It loves the cooler weather and will thrive during the winter months as well. Be sure to try our Cilantro recipe for Cilantro and Pine Nut Butter. It is wonderful on crackers, warm bread or just on veggies!

We were thrilled to have the Neiman Marcus Group from their Mariposa restaurant in San Antonio here for a Special four course dinner and wine tasting on August 30th!
