Dear Farm Family & Friends,
This Summer has been the coolest and wettest we have ever known here in Fredericksburg, Texas! On the one hand it has been nice not to have reached 100 degrees yet, but on the down side we have had so much rain that many of our vegetables and herbs have rotted, molded or not been able to ripen, and many people that usually make treks to The Texas Hill Country during the Summer Months have stayed away.
Last weekend there was a lovely wedding held in The Secret Garden here at the Herb Farm, and the bride asked me, "do you think it will rain?" and I told her no. It did not rain, until after the last guest left and the bride and groom were thrilled that the rain had held off until their evening had concluded!
I have been very happy to have my son, Roy home for the Summer helping at The Herb Farm and he has also been busy working on the play The Sunshine Boys at The Point Theatre in Ingram, which debuts this Thursday evening for the next 3 weekends. He will then begin his second year at St. Edwards University in Austin.
On our Herb Farm products, I am very excited to introduce our newest line, Esparanza, Hope Dog Shampoo and Conditioner. They help rid your dog of bugs naturally, and give him or her a healthy shiny coat and calm them down.
