Dear Farm Family & Friends,

May is always a Wonderful month to celebrate, Mother, Mom, Mum, or however you refer to your Mom, or the person in your life who is Mothering, or like a Mom. Also remember Stepmothers, Grandparents, Aunts, Great Aunts, Sunday School Teachers and all the other nurturing mentors in your life. While remembering those around you who celebrate this special day, also remember those you may know who may find Mother's Day a difficult time - not a day of joyous celebration. They too should be acknowledged.

As Elinor Silice of New York Falls, NY recently wrote, “Mothers are daily miracles we sometimes take for granted.” Lets not take her for granted this year, but instead do something special for her and with her. Whether you spend time with her in her garden, at a wonderful lunch, dinner, or breakfast. Take her to a spa, a movie, a play, or to church, call her on the phone, just remember her!

Our herb for May is Sage, along with a recipe for a delicious Sage and Cheese Torta and tips for using essential oils and an Herbal Steam Mini Facial.

Visit Fredericksburg for Becker Vineyards Annual Lavender Festival on May 18, 19, and 20th. We will be serving a Lavender Five Course Dinner with The Beckers here at The Herb Farm on the Friday Evening May 18th. Each course will be served with a different wine.

Enjoy this beautiful month, in your garden or just outside with yourself, a friend, family and if you can your Mom!
